Futurama animation key posing Gallery
This was an assignment from Toyfare Magazine for artists on the show to do their own take on the characters. Botticelli is already rather cartoony and these characters seem inclined to be naked in many episodes so.....the Birth of Leela.
These are all poses from many different episodes and i picked these because they felt like a snap shot that was so specific and NOT generic in the pose and action. This was a fun show to work on.
in 2009 i ran my first full marathon and i happened to be running next to a radio personality from here in So Cal. His last Name is Bender so while we were running i promised to draw him a picture of Bender.

Here is a selection of my animation key poses from the many seasons on Futurama. I always wanted their poses to be sincere and real to the emotion while being on model to the Matt Groening world. This first image is the line art for my cover image. This was a fun assignment for Toy fare magazine. it ended up on the cover. Please scroll through or double click to see an expanded view of each.

One of the few Pencil tests I still have from my days at Futurama. Every now and then we would fully animate something. Here Bender walks up to a Torpedo tube, gets in, and shoves the bomb out. He propositions it before he slams the hatch.
Animation drawings and clips
I was a sequence animator on Iron Giant and I was assigned the sequence with the hunters and the deer. I did a bunch of other scenes all over the movie, Still one of my favorite projects I have animated on.
I was so honored to get to animate one of my childhood favorites. This was so much fun. Funny fact: We used a Christmas ornament of Tigger as a maquette so we could keep his stripes consistent.

I was actually loaned out by WB after Quest to work on Prince of Egypt. I really enjoyed my time there and it was an inspirational movie to be a part of. I would not end up back at Dream works for literally 20 years. I just finished a series for them about a year ago that is still not announced.
If your thinking that you don't remember this from the Simpson movie you would be right. This is a sequence that was fully animated and ultimately scrapped. The story had a grief councilor lowered into the dome that is over the town. Her job was to help the town come to grips with the fact that they planned to blow up the town and everyone in it.
Pink Panther 2 Opening Titles
Poses from WB. including Theatrical Shorts, commercials and Back in Action feature.
I was so excited to get this scene. It is a classic Bugs line. The situation is really weird but I was happy to do it. Bugs Bunny? With a Light Saber Carrot??? and a Rocket pack??? Heck yeah!!!! This is one of the few roughs i still have from the scene.
Sketches and studies
Every now and then you are asked for something that makes it all worth doing. I was contacted by a mom of a girl with advanced Leukemia. She asked if I would do a drawing to make her smile. They only said she loved tigers. A week later I get a picture of her sitting up and smiling holding my drawing. I was in tears that my silly little drawing could make this beautiful little fighter feel happy. She passed not long after but I will never forget her.
